-APPEARANCE-
Jane Crocker is about 5'7" in height. She has black hair and bright blue eyes. She is very curvaceous in figure, but not outrageously so. She wears a standard uniform with minimalist accessories (plain tights or plain socks), on special occasion she may wear an accessory (i.e. a scarf, headband, ect...) to show some house spirit. Jane Crocker is nearsighted and wears her characteristic oval-shaped glasses almost all of the time (She removes them when reading for long periods of time and for sleeping). Oftentimes her glasses will be lopsided or falling down her nose. Her hair is cut short in a bob. It curls and waves making it a little hard to handle, but she manages with the help of some basic spells and charms.She has a fair complexion that stays mostly in the pale skin tones. She sunburns easily, but this most certainly won't prevent her from getting what she needs to done. Eventually she may tan to a light shade of bronze, but even that is after a fierce burn or constant exposure and repeated use of sunscreen/charms.

-ABOUT-
Personality: Jane is an extremely friendly person. She enjoys being around those she loves and is loyal to them in even her darkest moments. She is usually pretty tolerable of people and events, but is prone to anger when frustrated. In this state, she tends to become very exclamatory, even lashing out at people! This does not happen until she is extremely upset (thankfully) and she is quick to apologize for any hurtful feeling or actions.
Jane is quite reckless in her actions, oftentimes doing things that get her into trouble (she knew she shouldn't have let off that fire cracker, but the outcome was a riot! You should have seen the looks on the professors' faces!). Her curiosity often leads her to goad people (especially authority), but she always knows when to stop so she does not get into too much trouble. This sense of curiosity also leads her on grand adventures, which may not be such a great thing considering her recklessness.
Jane is an avid prankster who has a love for the classics (buckets on top of doorways, pies to the face, ect...). This does not mean she LIKES to cause trouble, it is just a side effect of her epic pranks. Her sense of humor is very wide, but she has a special place in her heart for mustached comedians from the past. She also seriously enjoys baking and cooking. This hobby is encouraged unsuspectingly by the kitchens close to the Hufflepuff common room. In the common room, you may find her reading a good detective story or informative cookbook. In her youth, she was a bit of a horticulturist and studied many different forms of plants. She still may sometimes make reference to her childhood interests and slip out a couple plant facts or trivia.
Jane will avidly avoid talking about her romantic life and will quickly change the topic if someone confronts her about it. She is very cagey about the subject and will divert attention away from the topic. She has even gone as far as to use a smoke bomb and sneak out of the room just to avoid the question. Even with her avoidance, her friends know her to be quite the romantic.
Background: Jane is the heiress to a huge baking empire. Her family has sold "magically delicious" sweets to muggles for generations. Because of her high standing in the baking empire, many competitors (or at least that is who she thought they were) tried to assassinate her. She and her father thwarted off most of the attacks, but eventually they wore done on the young heiress and her protective parent. Her father thought it safest to take her with him to Hogwarts, where he had just started teaching. She has been safe ever since arriving at Hogwarts and now attacks on her life were almost completely demolished.
At school, she focused on classes that would make her a good heiress: Muggle Studies, Potions, Charms, ect... Though not hugely proficient at school, she has a good social life with lots of friends that care for her. In return she is fiercely loyal to them. She enjoys hanging out in the hufflepuff common room in her free time, studying or just enjoying herself. She also enjoys to practice quidditch, though she is not very good at it. Her father even gave her his old broom from when he was in school! Sometimes she can convince her friend group to play a little catch.
Her practical jokes are the talk of the school. She has come up with some good ones, but is still not quite at the level her father was/is. She hopes one day to at least be at his level. She just sticks with the basics for now.
Quirks and Et Cetera: Jane often times will say things in an old fashioned way or say old fashioned words/phrases. She also may stone wall when talking about personal feelings.
